Registering to Vote

April 26th is the deadline to register to vote or change your political party affiliation before the Oregon primary, which is May 17th.

You’ve got to be registered with a party in order to get to cast a primary election vote. Otherwise, you will have to wait until the general election in November to vote for the candidates.

Everyone who participates with the new Motor Voter law is automatically registered as “unaffiliated” when they get an Oregon driver’s license so this is especially applicable to them.
