Council Meeting of January 4th

Highlights from our Wednesday night city council meeting, besides the exciting swearing in of Councilor Spoon, were:

-The passage of a new resolution to replace the Transit Advisory Committee’s original resolution outlining its number of meetings per year, etc.
-Authorizing Canby Area Transit to sell two of its buses that are several years and 1000s of miles beyond the FDA’s life expectancy standards. (You have served us well, O loyal buses.)
-Officially ordaining the old city hall building a local historic site (it had to be voted on at two different meetings–called a “2nd reading”).
-Authorizing the purchase of updated mobile video surveillance cameras for the CAT fleet.
-The presentation of a plaque to Councilor Clint Coleman for his past two years of service on council. (Good job, Clint.)
